It's fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.
Mr. Victor Odhiambo graduated from Moi University, Eldoret with a Bachelor of Laws degree (L.L.B) (Hons) and was admitted to the bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya on the 16th day of February 2006.
In August of 2006, he proceeded for his Masters in Law (LLM) at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas (USA) whence he graduated with an LLM in International and Comparative Law with specific focus on International Development and Finance. From March 2008 through June 2009, under the auspices of RCN Justice and Democratie, (an International NGO based in Belgium), he got the opportunity to work in Southern Sudan under their program aimed at Capacity Building and offering support to the Judiciary of Southern Sudan (JOSS). This involved training of judges, judiciary personnel, police and prison staff on common law ideals and connected matters.
In April 2011, he joined the Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution (CIC) wherein he significantly participated in, and contributed to the development of the Devolution and Public Finance Management Laws. His stint at the CIC has provided him with the opportunity to fully grasp the full depth and extent of the legislative framework governing both Devolution and Fiscal Decentralization. In addition, he has a clear mastery of the institutional set up, relationships and capacity building needs that are necessary as per both the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and connected matters.
